Duties and Responsibilities:

• Attend Board Meetings, program meetings and special event meetings to gather information for publicity requirements

• Work closely with key stakeholders at the SPCA to promote programs and services

• Advertise SPCA programs and events through social media and creating flyers

• Update SPCA Website with current information pertaining to program registration and upcoming special events

• Oversee creation of SPCA program guide and execute printing for program guide on a term by term basis

• seek out new ways to advertise for SPCA

• Submit a monthly report to the Board of Directors

• Other admin duties

Time Commitment:

• Attend board meetings (third Tuesday of the month from 7:00 - 9:00pm) and occasional program meetings throughout the year

• 6 hours a month to prepare media advertising, flyers, and other forms of publicity as requested, and to support Stanley Park Eats program. Additional time to create programs guide 3 x yearly.

  
  

Qualifications:

• Innovation and creativity in advertising

• Knowledge of graphics and some computer skills

• Previous experience in publicity and advertising an asset 

• A team player willing to take responsibility 

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
