Role Description
Are you seeking an opportunity to use your creativity to improve your community?
We are seeking a volunteer to assist and support the organization's marketing and sponsorship objectives for the ball program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- ● Establish relationships with new sponsors and maintain relationships with existing sponsors
- ⸰ Draft letters for sponsorship requests
- ⸰ Meet with sponsors to learn their needs and objectives regarding sponsorship
- ● Collaborate with SPCA Publicity Lead to coordinate marketing on social media platforms
- ● Set marketing/sponsorship rates in collaboration with Stanley Park Ball Board member
- ● Coordinate sponsors' promotional material alongside the Website Coordinator
- ● Organize the purchase and personalization of team uniforms and medallions
Time Commitment:
- ● This position is a year-round position with high needs from November to April and June
- ● This position requires approximately 6 hours per month in high-needs months, and 2 hours per month in low-needs months
- ● Attend committee meetings monthly from September to December and biweekly from January to April (virtual evenings)
Qualifications:
- ● Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- ● Post-secondary experience in marketing or public relations is an asset
- ● Working knowledge of G-Suite and Microsoft Office
- ● Experience in team sponsorship is an asset
- ● Some knowledge of baseball is an asset
- ● Social media marketing experience is an asset
