Role Description

Are you seeking an opportunity to use your creativity to improve your community?

We are seeking a volunteer to assist and support the organization's marketing and sponsorship objectives for the ball program.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • ● Establish relationships with new sponsors and maintain relationships with existing sponsors
  •        ⸰ Draft letters for sponsorship requests
  •       ⸰ Meet with sponsors to learn their needs and objectives regarding sponsorship
  • ● Collaborate with SPCA Publicity Lead to coordinate marketing on social media platforms
  • ● Set marketing/sponsorship rates in collaboration with Stanley Park Ball Board member
  • ● Coordinate sponsors' promotional material alongside the Website Coordinator
  • ● Organize the purchase and personalization of team uniforms and medallions


Time Commitment:

  • ● This position is a year-round position with high needs from November to April and June
  • ●  This position requires approximately 6 hours per month in high-needs months, and 2 hours per month in low-needs months
  • ● Attend committee meetings monthly from September to December and biweekly from January to April (virtual evenings)


Qualifications:

  • ● Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • ● Post-secondary experience in marketing or public relations is an asset
  • ● Working knowledge of G-Suite and Microsoft Office
  • ● Experience in team sponsorship is an asset
  • ● Some knowledge of baseball is an asset
  • ● Social media marketing experience is an asset
