Role Description
Do you love solving puzzles and being a planner?
We are seeking a volunteer to assist and support the organization's operation of the Stanley Park Ball program by ensuring teams and playing schedules are organized for the season.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- ● Organize and create teams in the 5 leagues (Blastball, Jr. T-Ball, Sr. T-Ball, Jr. 3-Pitch, Sr. 3-Pitch)
- ● Adhere to mutual friend requests made by participants in creating teams
- ● Arrange team schedules on predetermined playing days (i.e., Monday or Wednesday)
- ● Attend committee meetings monthly from September to December and biweekly from January to April (virtual evenings)
Time Commitment:
- ● This position runs from September until July with an option for renewal each year
- ● This position requires a higher time commitment in January to April (approximately 6-8 hours per week)
Qualifications:
- ● Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- ● Strong data and trouble shooting skills
- ● Experience as a league convener or running tournaments is an asset
- ● Knowledge of the rules and regulation of ball is an asset
- ● Working knowledge of G-Suite for communication purposes
