Volunteer Position: Special Events Lead (Elected)
Location: Stanley Park Community - 505 Franklin Street N, Kitchener, Ontario

Are you creative, organized, and passionate about bringing people together? Join us as the Special Events Lead and help make community events unforgettable!

What You’ll Do:

βœ… Plan and execute exciting events like the Halloween Party, Christmas Breakfast, and Santa Calls
βœ… Lead and support the Special Events Committee to ensure smooth event operations
βœ… Work with community partners to enhance event experiences
βœ… Oversee event budgets with the Event Supply Coordinator
βœ… Collaborate with the Publicity Lead to promote events
βœ… Recruit and coordinate volunteers with the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator
βœ… Conduct post-event reviews to improve future events
βœ… Report event updates to the Board and attend monthly meetings


What We’re Looking For:


✨ Creativity and innovation in event planning
✨ Strong organizational and multitasking skills
✨ Previous event planning or leadership experience (an asset)
✨ Excellent communication and teamwork
✨ Self-motivated and community-driven mindset

Time Commitment:
  • Monthly board meetings (third Tuesday, 7-9 PM)
  • Special Event meetings (~4 hours per month)
  • Active participation in event planning and execution
  • Attendance at major community events
