Food Program Lead (Elected) - Volunteer Type: Volunteer • 

Position Description We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to lead and support our community food programs, ensuring welcoming and accessible initiatives within the Stanley Park Community Association. This role involves guiding program coordinators and fostering a positive volunteer environment.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the Community Services (Program) committee and schedule meetings.

Support the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of Community Services (Program) coordinators.

Support Community Services (Program) coordinators in maintaining and delivering their programs effectively.

Ensure all food programs have sufficient volunteer support.

Attend Board meetings (third Tuesday of the month from 7:00 - 9:00 pm). Chair the Community Program Committee meetings.


Time Commitment:

Approximately 2 hours/month for Board meetings.

Approximately 2 hours/month for Community Program Committee meetings.

Approximately 5 hours/month supporting program coordinators and volunteers.


Qualifications:

Experience in community engagement/development is an asset.

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

A desire to serve the community in a leadership role.

A collaborative team player willing to take responsibility.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
