Position Description

Position: Stanley Park Ball Marketing & Sponsorship Coordinator 


Location: Remote/Community Position - Stanley Park Community Centre -  505 Franklin Street N. Kitchener, Ontario


Purpose of Position: To assist and support the organization's marketing and sponsorship objectives for the ball program 


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Establish relationships with new sponsors and maintain relationships with existing sponsors

    • Draft letters for sponsorship requests

    • Meet with sponsors to learn their needs and objectives regarding sponsorship 

  • Collaborate with SPCA Publicity Lead to coordinate marketing on social media platforms

  • Set marketing/sponsorship rates in collaboration with Stanley Park Ball board member

  • Coordinate sponsors' promotional material alongside the Website Coordinator

  • Organize the purchase and personalization of team uniforms and medallions


Time Commitment:


  • This position is a year-round position with high needs from November to April and June

  • This position requires approximately 6 hours per month in high-needs months, and 2 hours per month in low-needs months

  • Attend committee meetings monthly from September- December and bi-weekly from January to April (virtual evenings)


Qualifications:


  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills

  • Post-secondary experience in marketing or public relations is an asset

  • Working knowledge of G-Suite and Microsoft Office

  • Experience in team sponsorship is an asset

  • Some knowledge of baseball is an asset

  • Social media marketing experience is an asset 





Training and Professional Development:


  • Overview of the ball program including the current sponsorship process and RAMP platform


Supervision and Accountability:


  • Reports to Stanley Park Ball board member 

  • Ongoing check-ins to monitor position tasks and progress
