Position Description

Position: Stanley Park Ball Equipment Coordinator 


Location: Stanley Park Community Centre -  505 Franklin Street N. Kitchener, Ontario 


Purpose of Position: To assist and support the organization's operation of the ball program by ensuring the equipment is in good working condition & that teams have what they need to succeed.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the program has the necessary equipment before the start of ball season

  • Arrange for the repair or replacement of broken/damaged equipment as needed

  • Document inventory before and after the ball season, replenish as needed

  • Monitor and track equipment loaned to teams and participants 


Risk Assessment Level:

  • Low 


Time Commitment:

  • This position runs September to July with an option for renewal each year

  • The position requires a higher time commitment in April, May, and September (approximately 3 to 4 hours per week) and less time in the other months


Qualifications:

  • T-Ball/Baseball experience is a strong asset

  • Experience with sports equipment procurement is an asset

  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with equipment repair and maintenance 

  • Working knowledge of G-Suite for communication purposes


Training and Professional Development:

  • Overview of equipment and current storage/procurement practices


Supervision and Accountability:

  • Reports to Stanley Park Ball board member 

  • Ongoing check-ins to monitor position tasks and progress
