We’re looking for a dedicated and community-minded volunteer to take on the role of Food Distribution Program Coordinator at the Stanley Park Community Association. 


In this leadership role, you’ll guide and support a team of volunteers to ensure our weekly food distribution program runs smoothly and efficiently, helping local families access the food they need in a welcoming and respectful environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong communication and organizational skills, and wants to make a meaningful impact in their community.

As the Food Distribution Program Coordinator, you’ll:

  • Provide on-site leadership to our volunteer team during food distribution.

  • Communicate regularly with volunteers, the Food Programs Lead, and partners like the City of Kitchener and the Waterloo Region Food Bank.

  • Support scheduling, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and attend monthly meetings to share updates and ideas.

Time Commitment:

  • Approximately 10 hours per month - 4 hours to attend meetings, respond to emails, provide support and coordination, 6 hours to attend food distribution program weekly

    • Food Distribution runs Wednesdays, 10:45 AM – 12:15 PM

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Experience with food distribution programs (like The Food Bank) is an asset

  • A collaborative, compassionate approach to community service

Training & Support:

  • You’ll receive orientation, basic health & safety, and AODA training

  • Ongoing support from our Food Programs Lead and Volunteer Engagement Manager.
