We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic volunteer to take on the role of Social Media Coordinator with the Stanley Park Community Association (SPCA).
In this engaging role, you’ll help connect our community by creating and sharing content that highlights SPCA programs, events, and the people who make our centre so special. You’ll work closely with staff and volunteers to ensure our online presence is vibrant, welcoming, and informative.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys storytelling, graphic design, and social media, and wants to use their creativity to make a positive impact in their community.
As the Social Media Coordinator, you’ll:
Create and schedule engaging social media posts using Canva and Hootsuite.
Attend SPCA events to capture and share live content.
Collaborate with SPCA staff and volunteers to promote upcoming programs and community initiatives.
Communicate regularly with the Publicity Lead and other team members to plan and coordinate posts.
Time Commitment:
Approximately 10 hours per month to plan, create, and schedule posts, attend events, and coordinate with the team.
Qualifications:
Creativity and innovation in digital storytelling and advertising.
Knowledge of graphic design tools (such as Canva) and strong computer skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Previous experience in social media management or publicity is an asset.
Training & Support:
Orientation, basic health & safety, and AODA training provided.
Ongoing support from the Publicity Lead and Volunteer Engagement Manager.
